This Privacy Policy describes how your personal information is collected, used, and shared when you visit the site and our platforms.

Eyesnap provides a platform to allow the exchange of electronic communication, in the form of pictures, videos & text between optometrists, specialists and other generalists.

PERSONAL INFORMATION WE COLLECT

When you visit the Site at a limited capacity, we will not collect any personal information about you. The information collected will be purely statistical regarding the usage of the site. We automatically collect usage information such as the type of web browser, IP address, time zone, and some of the cookies that are installed on your device. Additionally, as you browse the Site, we collect information about the individual web pages or products that you view, what websites or search terms referred you to the Site, and information about how you interact with the Site. We refer to this automatically-collected information as “Usage Information.”

If you are a user of our platform we will collect user information through our application process. Users of our platform will need to provide

– Practice Details

We will automatically collect information regarding usage of our platform to improve our products and services. This includes details of any support enquiries and complaints made by you.

Furthermore, location tracking is used to restrict the use of patient information and data outside of the practice which ultimately enhances security and patient privacy. Various technologies are used to determine the users location. Location data will only be used while the application is in use, including the initial login into the application.

If you are a patient, we will not collect patient information directly from you, but will securely store information submitted by your eye care provider.

We collect Device Information using the following technologies:

– “Log files” track actions occurring on the Site, and collect data including your IP address, browser type, Internet service provider, referring/exit pages, and date/time stamps.

HOW DO WE USE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION?

We use the Information that we collect generally to maintain, improve and develop our platform. We may also use some information to for direct marketing of our products and services. Additionally, we use this Information to:

We facilitate the communication of Patient information between certain eye care service providers who use our platform during their patient referral and clinical care processes, but we will not otherwise disclose this information to any unauthorized parties except in accordance with this privacy policy.

Usage information is shared with external providers enabling us to run the platform (eg. Billing services, web services etc.) or otherwise with your consent. These external providers may also collect personal information directly from you, such as payment information for billing purposes etc. We recommend visiting their respective sites for their privacy policies.

Finally, we may also share your Personal Information to comply with applicable laws and regulations, to respond to a subpoena, search warrant or other lawful request for information we receive, or to otherwise protect our rights.

INFORMATION STORED OR TRANSFERRED OVERSEAS

All patient information on the Platform is stored in Australia; however Usage information may be stored in server’s located overseas dependent on external providers and third parties. We strive to ensure that any third party provider used by Eyesnap manages any personal information contained in the Usage information the same way as required by the Australian Privacy Policy, we will not be responsible if they fail to do so, nor will we be obliged to take steps to ensure that those other providers comply. By continuing to use our web site and/or the Platform, you consent to Usage information and data being provided to, and used by, other providers located overseas.

HOW DO WE PROTECT YOUR INFORMATION?

Eyesnap strives to protect the information it collects or holds, including Usage and Patient Information. This includes but is not limited to using firewalls, encryption, intrusion detection and site monitoring. However, no data transmission over the internet can be 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee the security of any information you send to us or receive from us. Once we receive your transmission, we, to the best our abilities ensure its security on our servers.

ACCESS AND CORRECTION OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

CAMERA & PHOTOS

Many of our services requires capturing and uploading photos on our secure cloud servers. For example, using the application to capture and store patient eye scans will require the use of the camera.

FEEDBACK & OPTING OUT

If you have any concerns about your Patient information being transferred via the Platform, please contact your eye care service provider.

If you have feedback in relation to our privacy policy, please contact us.

If you no longer want us to use your Usage information or data for certain purposes, you can:
– Delete existing cookies from your web browser and/or disable cookies on your computer and/or devices.
– Opt out of receiving online communications via the ‘unsubscribe link.’

If you do opt out, we will no longer use your information for those purposes; however, we may use your information for the limited purposes of contacting you directly in relation to your use of our products and services.

Your withdrawal of consent for us to use your information for certain purposes may mean that can no longer provide the Platform to you.
